About Oisawa

There is a chestnut tree in Oisawa that is the biggest in Japan.

Height:15meters,8.5 meters in circumference.

This chestnut tree is said to be hundreds years old.

The chestnut tree yield abundantly every fall.

Part of ruins of Dainichi-ji (Dainichi temple).
It was the base of faith of Dewa-Sanzan.(Mt.gassan,Mt.yudono and Mt haguro)

The gassan ski area is open on April to summer because much snow prevent from skiing.

This ski area is famous for Summer-Skiing in Japan.

Middle part of the picture -It looks white narrow valley- is Oisawa.
