形容詞, 副詞の原級, 比較級, 最上級

比較級は原級に pli を, 最上級は plej を付けた形を取ります。英語のような例外はありません。

ric^a (rich), pli ric^a (richer), la plej ric^a (the richest)

bela (beautiful), pli bela (more beautiful), la plej bela (the most beautiful)

bona (good), pli bona (better), la pej bona (the best)

(形容詞の最上級には la を付けます。)


frue (early), pli frue (earlier), plej frue (earliest)

malrapide (slowly), pli malrapide (more slowly), plej malrapide (most slowly)

bone (well), pli bone (better), plej bone (best)

(副詞の最上級には la を付けません。)


Li estas tiel ag^a kiel mi. (He is as old as I.)

S^i nag^as tiel rapide kiel li. (She swims as fast as he).

Li estas pli ag^a ol mi. (He is older than I.)

Esperanto estas multfoje pli facila por lerni ol iu ajn lingvo. (Esperanto is many times easier to learn than any other language.)

S^i nag^as pli rapide ol li. (She swims faster than he.)

Li estas la plej bona studento en nia klaso. (He is the best student in our class.)

S^i nag^as plej rapide el ni c^iuj. (She swims fastest of us all.)


劣級 (malpli), 最劣級(malplej)は次のように使われます。

Lia hundo estas malpli granda ol la mia. (His dog is less big than mine.)

= Lia hundo ne estas tiel grand kiel la mia. (His dog isn't so big as mine.)

Li estas la malplej lerta c^arpentisto c^i tie. (He is the least skilful carpenter here.)
