7 疑問文

疑問文には次の3つの形があります。

1 普通の文の文頭に c^u をつけます。英語では be動詞の場合と一般動詞の場合とでは疑問文の作り方が違いますが, エスペラントではそのような区別はありません。

C^u vi estas esperantisto? (Are you an Esperantist?)

C^u Ken havas multajn esperantajn librojn? (Does Ken have many Esperanto books?)


2 普通の文の文末に c^u ne を付けます。これは英語の付加疑問文にあたります。

Vi estas esperantisto, c^u ne? (You are an Esperantist, aren't you?)

Ken havas multajn esperantajn librojn, c^u ne? (Ken has a lot of Esperanto books, doesn't he?)

(注)否定文(8 否定文参照)の文末に付けるときも普通は c^u ne が使われます。(c^u jes を使う人もあります。)

Li ne estas esperantisto, c^u ne? (He isn't an Esperantist, is he?)


3 疑問詞 kia(what[adj.]), kio(what[pron.]), kiu(which), kies(whose), kie(where), kial(why), kiam(when), kiel(how), kiom(how many, much)を文頭につけます。

kia, kio, kiu, kie は目的格語尾 -n を付けて使うことができます。

kia, kiu は 複数語尾 -j を付けて使うことができます。

Kiajn kolorojn vi amas? (What colors do you like?)
Kio estas tio? (What is that?)
Kiun el tiuj koloroj vi amas ? (Which of those colors do you like?)
Kiuj estas tiuj viroj? (Who are those men?)
Kies s^uoj estas tiuj? (Whose shoes are those?)
Kie vi log^as? (Where do you live?)
Kial vi ne venis hierau~? (Why didn't you come yesterday?)
Kiam li venos? (When will he come?)
Kiel vi fartas? (How are you?)
Kiom da esperantaj vortaroj vi havas? (How many Esperanto dictionaries do you have?)
Kiom da akvo estas en la botelo? (How much water is there in the bottle?)


上の3つの疑問文の形のうち, 1 と 3 は, 間接疑問文を作ることができます。
間接疑問文になっても語順が変ることはありません。

Mi ne scias c^u li estas esperantisto. (I don't know if he is an Esperantist.)

比較: Mi scias ke li estas esperantisto. (I know that he is an Esperantist.)

C^u vi scias kia estas lia nomo? (Do you know what his name is?)
